Case Studies
Project Description – Critical Facility – Banking Enfield Disaster Recovery Centre
JGR Building services were awarded the Mechanical and Electrical works in connection with remodelling the existing services from a call centre to Critical Disaster recovery centre. The challenge was to maintain essential critical services at all times whilst ensuring minimal impact to business activities.
Contract value – £2.6m
Delivery Programme – 12 weeks
Scope of works:
- Installation of new HV incoming supply, substation & transformers
- New integrated UPS Systems
- New HV & LV systems inclusive of lighting and Comms Room distribution
- Supply and installation of critical cooling systems in the form of Denco down Flow DX Systems
- Gas suppression systems
- New Fire Alarm and Vesda systems
- New Air Handling Plant and Associated Primary Ventilation Systems
- Modification and upgrade of existing LTHW and Boiler Plant
- Daikin VRV Systems throughout the building
All systems were integrated, monitored and controlled by a New Trend BMS System for both on site and remote monitoring.
Pre-construction intrusive surveys were carried to ensure a true understanding of the building existing infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery.
Project Description – AHU Replacement – Royal Courts of Justice
JGR were awarded the removal and replacement of Air Handling plant located within the narrow and restricted basements of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
The Air Handling Plant was in excess of 30 years old, with the works having to be delivered with a high level of customer focus due to the sensitivity of the building.
Existing systems had to be maintained with narrow below ground tunnel systems being navigated to facilitate the replacement with Zero impact to the daily business requirements of the Courts.
Contract value – £150k
Delivery Programme – 4 weeks Services Scope of works
- Dismantle and remove existing AHU plant and associated services.
- Strip, deliver and assemble in situ New Air Handling plant.
- Modify, upgrade and integrate new Plant into Trend BMS systems.
A UK based air handling plant manufacturer was employed to work closely with JGR to ensure smooth delivery that was achieved without impact to the building, its daily operation and in addition out of site to the public eye.
Project description – Lincoln Coop Gibbets Nook CO2 System
Lincolnshire Coops First Co2 System, A Petrol filling station at gibbets Nook, near RAF Coningsby. The systems we designed and selected by JGR utilising Cubo2 CO2 condensing units.
The control system is Carrel working in conjunction with RDM alarm systems.
Contract value – £85k
Delivery Programme – 4 weeks
Scope of works:
- CO2 Refrigerant
- New refrigeration plant
- New coldrooms run from the plant with back up units.
- Daikin Air conditioning to both the sales floor and back of house
- Over door heating by Ambirad
The Project was delivered successfully through continuing collaboration with all parties, the client and other direct suppliers such as the cabinet supplier and other representatives throughout the entire process.
Project description – Lincolnshire Coop Service Contract
JGR Have again been awarded a further 4 year contact to Service & Maintain all Refrigeration assets for Lincolnshire Cooperative Society, covering over 145 stores through Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & Cambridgeshire.
4 year contract value – £1.5 million+
SLA Delivery – 24hr / 365days per year
Scope of works:
- Planned Service, Maintenance on all refrigeration Assets
- Planned Service, Maintenance on all Air Conditioning Assets
- Unplanned repairs and call-out works
- Supply of Materials
- Validation and Dilapidation Repots
- Energy monitoring Assessments
- F-Gas Checks
This Project was delivered successfully delivered to this client for 15 years, this is direct reflection on the quality of service JGR provide to all its service customers

Our Dedicated Team of Service Engineers are on Call 24/7 365 Days a Year. We provide servicing & preventative maintenance contracts throughout the UK.
Without preventative maintenance your Systems life span will be halved and will not meet with any manufacturers warranties offered.
Maintenance of expensively installed equipment is essential to prolong the life expectancy of any system and to gain the most efficient use of the system and to meet with New Green Legislation.
If systems break down it inevitably costs more to repair than a regular maintenance visit.
Our commitment to safety is paramount
Project Safety begins at design stage of a project, discussing existing site hazards and planned work required, to ensure works are planned and control throughout the project, enabling us to keep the client fully informed at all stages of the project.
Prior to commencing works on site, all engineers will be fully briefed on the scope of works by the JGR Project Manager.
The site safety folder is then passed to the installation supervisor, who will ensure this folder is kept on site for the duration of the works and ensure all operatives working on site adheres to the controls detailed in the folder
